I started at the Swiss School of Photography with zero experience, and it was one of the best decisions I made. The teachers are incredibly supportive, patient, and passionate about what they do. They helped me build both my technical skills and my confidence behind the camera. I've had a 1-on-1 online photography session with Raffa and honestly, it was superb! Raffa's energy and vibe made the whole course very interesting and engaging. Raffa is clearly very knowledgeable and he was brilliant at quickly tailoring the content to my specific skill level (and my questions), which is the massive advantage of doing a private session. The pace felt just right, and everything was well structured, covering all the essentials—from aperture and shutter speed to composition principles—plus a ton of practical tips for taking better shots. I've got a lot from this course and I really feel like I leveled up, and I am genuinely excited to grab my camera and practice. I had the opportunity to join two classes hosted by Nika, one about the basics of photography and the other one about social media strategy. Both lessons were absolutely great! Nika tailored the content for me and my friend, the lessons were very interactive and hands on. Also the course material we received with all the presentations and precious tips are of extreme high quality. Nika is very prepared, experienced, qualified and enormously empathetic. It has been a blast and I am looking forward to the next session!

Totally recommended++ !! I attended the Beginners Photography Course (ZH) - English (with Raffaele), all theory (and some practice) with some practical exercises introduced me into this amazing world. The content of the course matches with my expectations and now I have the basic tools to keep learning. But I also recommend other courses they offer such as practical exercises and processing course.... they have a vast experience and easy way to communicate and share their knowledge .. of course I will attend more course with them in the near future!! I participated in the post-processing course and was very satisfied with the session. The teacher was very approachable and friendly, and very knowledgable about digital photography. This and the small size of the group allowed for very many additional questions and digressions which I found super interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed the beginners' photography class! It was incredibly informative, and I left with a wealth of new knowledge. The atmosphere was welcoming and the instructor was both friendly and highly experienced, making it easy to ask all of my newbie questions in a supportive environment.

Amazing photography school in Zurich, highly recommend. I did the 4 hour intro course and got so much out of it. Award winning photographer Raffaele Cabras Keller broke down the fundamental creative elements of photography so well that they could be understood by anyone. By the end of the course, all student's abilities and knowledge had been expanded. I cannot recommend the Swiss School of Photography highly enough for photo tours, classes or any photography needs.

Took a beginner photography class recently with Rafa and was stunned by that experience. The instructor showed great enthusiasm for the class and he kept us engaged in his lessons. I particularly loved the memorable exercises and the hands on practice that emphasized every topic that we studied. We have started doing several courses for photography and videography in our office, which has been excellent. We gained a tremendous amount of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in a short time. We received customized training tailored to our requirements and with a very flexible approach. The classes are fun; you don't even notice the time flying. I look forward to a continued partnership on our journey of becoming great photographers. :)

The beginners course is perfect to get to know the basics of photography, how to achieve a creative effect in your pictures and to get advise on the type of equipment you need to start your photography journey.

The Landscape Photography Class was an excellent intro to the framing, settings and best options for great landscape pics! Using the tripods to do long exposures - with various filters & settings - produced some amazing results. The class was informative, well paced and fun. And I came away with some incredible shots of the city of Zurich as the sun was setting. Thanks Raffa & SSOP for this awesome learning experience!

The Smartphone Photography and Videography Course was very insightful. Nika gave us the right amount of relevant theory, applied use cases and time to just put out creativity at work. I had a great and enjoyable experience with Swiss School of Photography for my first photography course (beginner course). Rafal was very clear and explained the theory at the right pace. The slides used for the theory were amazing with pictures showing the "before and after" editing. Pictures used are just stunning. Rafal and his team greeted us in a nice training environment and biscuits which was nice to have.

Great course! Completely new to photography and this course gave some knowledge that I can immediately implement. Nice atmosphere and material. Great as well for those who do not know much about cameras.

As someone new to photography, the Team explained in great detail how everything worked together. Awesome! My second course, landscape photography, explained best to compose images.

I just had my photo post-processing course with Raffa and it was great! I came with no experience with editing my photos and I got everything I needed to start on my own: starting with advice on what software to use and a proper workflow to follow every time I sit to edit a new batch of shoots. No rushed content, actually everything was dealt with the proper explanation to understand the importance of every element. And at the end, a long, guided, self-practice session where I could put all the newly learned stuff to work and get immediate advice and valuable tips. Highly recommended!

The landscape photography course was fantastic! It had exactly the right amount of relevant theory, applied use cases and hands to training for me. So, after we went through the most important concepts of composition and technical/stylistic settings and saw them in action, we went out into the city and received exercises and wow! It made such a big difference to try to work on the exercises myself and then receiving guidance and see how the result improved... I cannot wait to go out and shoot more now. Very good explanations Easy to understand

I attended the beginner course with Raffaele and I can only highly recommend it! We were two students, so we almost had a private class, which was really great as we could ask as many questions as we wanted. For long time I thought that photography was going to be my second or first non one day and several times I thought to attend a photography course to be able to learn everything about photography and take the best photos during my worldwide trips. I have done a beginner course and I must say THANK YOU. This school has a very efficient way of teaching and be sure you will learn a tons of new things about photography. What I liked the most, is that they are able to minimize the information so you learn what is essential for you and you don't get lost in thousands hours course with boring theory. Definitely an excellent school and I will definitely proceed with other courses to expand my knowledge even more. Thank you to Raffaele for being a wonderful mentor!

Outstanding courses, highly recommended

I took the 3 hour drone photography class. The class was great and I learned many things about my drone, arial composition, and the laws of Switzerland. It was a great course and despite only having one student in a group course, the course was not cancelled. The only downside is now I want to buy a drone with more features.

I've done a few different courses and workshops with Raffaele and can highly recommend them to everyone looking to gain practical tips and insights into the world of photography and post-processing. The groups are small which allows a personalized approach, and Raffaele is an excellent teacher.

I found the class to be unusually excellent. The information was logical and accessible for a complete beginner. I will definitely be taking more classes.

The beginner course gives you the basics to understand photography. It is very intense and allows you to interact with Raffaele who is open to questions and loves to explain the reasoning behind a photographer choice in terms of aperture, shutter speed and ISO. I found very interesting when he showed the camera mechanism by removing the lens and activating the shutter/sensor. Moreover, he has a wide range of cameras and lenses which are then used to display the different results that you can achieve. I encourage beginners as well as amateur photographers to take part to this course. THANKS RAFFA!

I followed a course in Macro photography. I was very lucky, cause the 2nd attendee was absent. So I got a private lesson, which gave the tutor the chance to go a bit more specific towards my questions and skill level. I found it a in depth and insightful lesson. I learned a lot on a very short time. You really notice that tutor is passionate about his craft and knows all the tricks. Overall a very good experience.

Really great beginner course and workshops! I've started not knowing many of the functions of my camera and now I'm confident to take the auto mode off. End result: amazing photos that will soon share on my insta ;). Definitely will booked myself on the intermediate course. Great mix of theoretical and practical work. I've attended the Landscape photography course and I really enjoyed it. Raffaele and Nika are very passionate teachers & photographers. They took time to find out everyone's expectations, goals and objectives. They made sure to cover the things we wanted to learn alongside with the course agenda. I attended the Beginners Course at Swiss School of Photography in Zurich and can highly recommend it, from all standpoints. Raffaele Cabras is not only a great photographer but also an enthusiastic and effective teacher. The course is perfectly structured, never boring, very precise and easy to follow - in just 4 hours, Raffaele was able to make us understand how a camera works (inside and out), master the basic techniques to take good pictures, and be motivated to progress further in our learning journey. On top, I was really inspired by Raffaele's perspective of photography as an art, and how taking photos can transform your perception of the world around you. A great course, that exceeded my expectations: I will definitely go back for another one!

I was on holiday in Zurich and attended the sunset workshop as I wanted to capture beautiful pictures of Zurich and learn more professional photography techniques. The workshop was great - really interesting & a good balance of background, theory & practical exercises. Raffaele is a really passionate photographer & teacher & by the end of the day, the whole group was taking well composed & exposed pictures on manual mode. I'd highly recommend this course for people wanting to practice the basics of photography & get off auto mode to start taking proper pictures

During a recent vacation to Switzerland, I had the opportunity to take a photography course at Swiss School of Photography in Zurich. Eventually, I took a one-on-one course that focused on landscape photography and milky way with instructor Raffaele. From the initial meeting, it was apparent that Raffaele was very experienced and knowledgeable in the subject matter. During the course, he was patient and took the time to provide precise answers to my questions. I have taken various photography courses during this year and I can confidently state that, in a short amount of time, Raffaele was able to present a very informative course that covered both the important technical and artistic priorities. It is unfortunate that I do not travel to Zurich more frequently, as I wish I could take additional courses at Swiss School of Photography. I would strongly recommend this school to anyone wanting to expand their knowledge and skills in photography.

Going on a photography tour with the Swiss School of Photography was literally the best photography trip I have ever been on. Raffa and Nika are super kind and intelligent people, and I feel like I genuinely made new lifelong friends. They were quick to assess our skill levels and gave just the right amount of coaching. I flew all the way from the USA, and I am already looking forward to the next trip to Iceland.

Nikki and Raffa make a great team, and their choice of photographic locations is spot on. Every photograph you see on their account does the real places justice. I have already done three photo tours with them, and I will join for more.

This was no ordinary tour but rather a very unique look at Sardinia. One that in many respects was a 'behind the scenes' tour that the average tourist simply does not see. Photographically it was very rich training. The group was small which maximised the experience and learning.
